  • Horrible service. Should have paid the extra couple of bucks and went with a competitor. They were the only rental place with a line AND IT WAS HUGE. Every customer there already entered all of their info online or on the self service kiosks. I don't understand what the hold up was other than the employees at the counter are severely understaffed and/or hate their jobs. Only a few there and they were wandering around, chatting with each other, moving slower than my 90 year old grandmother. All they had to do was look at your license, ask are you sure you don't want this or that, say sign this and hand over the keys. Took an hour and a half just to get the keys. Then after taking the shuttle over to the rental garage, another 45 minutes to actually get out of the garage with the car. THAT'S WELL OVER 2 HOURS JUST TO PICK UP A CAR! Then while we were driving we noticed the distinct smell of electronics burning. At the time I had my phone plugged into the USB port for music and the GPS for navigation. NOW MY PHONE AND GPS ARE BOTH FRIED!!! I'll remember the Alamo alright, and never use them again!
