  • YYC, You were really good to me! I was here for an hour, early in the evening, early in the week. The airport was eerily quiet, but then again, maybe there aren't that many people flying back to the US on a Monday night. I'm definitely not complaining though. Drop off at the terminal was a breeze. Check-in via United was without incident. Security was quick and painless (mainly because no cavity searches were required) and having US Customs at the Canadian airport was freaking sweet! Intelligently all US Travelers go up an escalator, past a wall of REAL maple syrup and maple products, and are dropped off INSIDE the Duty Free shop right after customs. I'll save that experience for another review though. Outside the shop you're next to the food court with a decent array of options including Greek, Asian, American, and more. There's public art, kid zones galore and even a piano you can play if you're so inclined! Sadly I was not greeted by the cowgirls in red hats, but hopefully they'll be there with their welcoming smiles when I return!
