The Point State Park Fountain is a little slice of paradise steps away from Pittsburgh's bustling downtown. While I received my first impression of the fountain during Arts Fest, which treated the Point State Park as a central bastion of activity, I was not deterred by the large crowds.
The natural beauty and scenic views of Pittsburgh's steep hills, rivers, bridges, and skyline makes a trip to the fountain, which marks the point of confluence for the Allegheny, Ohio, and Monongahela rivers, an absolute must for those visiting the city.
I would recommend a light lunch in market square and a quick walk to Point State Park for anyone with the time to enjoy a beautiful day in Pittsburgh.
