I went in to get a portable CD player to listen to book on CD. What a nightmare! I was directed to the correct department, stood at the customer service desk while the clerk was typing in a customers info. When he got done I asked where the CD players were and it pointed in the direction with a verbal statement. Great, I walked over there but of course the one that I wanted was out of stock.
So I find another sale person and asked if they have any more in the back. He said he was busy with another customer and would help me when he was done. Fifteen minutes later and he NEVER returned.
I went online with my cell phone and looked up the item on Best Buys website. Lo and behold they have 7 in stock. So with the image on my phone I approach the "pointing sales guy" again and tell him that they are out of this model on the floor. But would he please go get me one since they say they are in stock. Well this bone head goes over to where he told me the CD Players are and brings the wrong model, plus he gets interrupted with another customer while holding the player! At this point I didn't know that it was the wrong player. So I approached him, is that it and can I just get it and purchase it? Well duh, it was the wrong CD player and I just told this idiot they didn't have any on the floor. So he looks again at my phone again and goes in a different direction and comes back with the correct player!
This whole process took 1/2 hour which is ridicules considering I knew what I wanted.
It is painful to shop at Best Buy even when you know exactly what you want. Best Buy has the worst customer service and they don't care.
