| - This is an amazing and seemingly humane zoo and aquarium. The animals have large habitats to roam in, unlike many zoos. It is expansive with endless animals and attractions. Cost was $32 for 13 and up, $15-ish for ages 3-12 and under three is free. We got a buy one/get one pass in a Hickman Egg carton and they have $4 off coupons online. If you go on a weekend, parking is bananas. Be prepared and go as early as possible. No outside food/drink allowed, except for what is In a diaper bag. There are many feeding shows(the schedule posted online) and you can touch and feed a stingray in the aquarium.
In addition to animals and the aquarium, there are additional rides and activities such as a safari train tour of the park, giraffe feeding, petting zoo, ski lift tour, playground and a carousel. Most of these cost additional money. Do NOT wear any loose clothing or anything of value in the petting zoo. Goats surrounded me, grabbed my shirt in their mouths and chewed through my favorite sweater when we went in. Guess they have good taste? Ha! Animals jumped up on you frequently, which scared many of the little kids, including mine. The sink was not working next to the petting zoo and no where to wipe your hands, either. Take allergy meds and bring sunglasses, even if it's not sunny, as the loose dust and dirt flies in your eyes and face otherwise.
Overall, great value for your money with all there is to do and see. Bring cash for the rides and concession areas, quarters to feed animals in petting zoo and giraffes and stop in the gift shop. There is some neat stuff in there!
