  • ok, so this place gets 2 stars for being clean, not giving me food poisoning, and having huge glasses of water. the waitress was pleasant. and the other 3 stars??? well. let me tell you where they went. i came here to eat with my parents and we ordered a few rolls. when they came out, the waitress had accidentally placed an order for a roll that we had cancelled.... we informed her (expecting, as at most reputable eating establishments, that she would just discount it or comp it). she prompty took the plate back to the kitchen and came out with the rest of our rolls on a different plate. STRIKE ONE! that was sooo cheap and tacky. especially when you consider we had already ate 1-2 pieces of the other rolls before we noticed the mistake! she even lectured us on how to cross off cancelled orders bc she couldn't see it.... next, although not super fishy or old-tasting, the sushi is not the freshest of the fresh. granted, you're not paying big bucks for these rolls, but shoot. it was still overpriced. and lastly, the vast majority of the rolls just use crab salad as a filler. if i WANTED to eat 5 rolls of the same thing, i would have ordered them. honestly, if you want good quality sushi for about the same price, go down to JK Bowl on Bell and 7th St. I would not bother going here again. I feel like a jerk for saying that, but, it's the honest truth.
