A couple of days ago my son and I came here for brunch. I had eaten here before and had talked this place up to my son. This was going to be our last meal in Vegas before heading home.
I ordered the 1 pound lobster Benedict and he decided to go for a dozen oysters on the half shell. We also decided to split a Louie Salad.
Let's speak to the food first.
The Lobster in the eggs Benedict was chewy, rubbery and just tasteless. The hollandaise, the English muffins and the eggs were not bad.
The Lobster in the Salad Louie was much the same.
My son tells me that the oysters were very good.
Now to the service. Our server was friendly and amiable. But fairly uninformed. Had to think about what khan no of oysters were on the menu. Then could not tell us which oysters were which on the platter. His attention was mostly directed to the table next to us whose 4 occupants had ordered the bottomless mimosas. We on the other hand had stayed just with water.
To his credit and to the manager's, they comped the Lobster Benedict. Good recovery.
In short this was a disappointing experience.
