I had a good experience at my first visit, but when I called to make an appointment based on my DO's pathogen report they said that they couldn't get me in until February (it is currently November) because I haven't been there in 3 years. I am in an extraordinary amount of pain now and the best they can do is 2 1/2 months? If you're booked that far out, just say you're not accepting new or inactive patients. The gal on the phone mumbled that she could get me in on "mumblemumble 3rd" so I wasted my time giving her all my information to find out that it wasn't December 3rd but February 3rd! She was utterly unapologetic with not even an ounce of sympathy for me or my condition. She didn't even care WHY I called or even ask if I wanted to be put on any kind of cancellation list. I didn't even have the option to see if another doctor in the practice had better availability because even though they are treating me like a new patient all over again, and I've only been there once, apparently they don't allow you to change doctors ever... so you better like who you see the first time because you're stuck with them until the end of time apparently. I work in customer service and I would NEVER treat one of my clients like this. If one of my customers has an urgent issue - I don't care if it's been a week, a year, or a decade - I treat it like it's urgent and I make it work if I can. If for some reason I can't, I at least treat them with the compassion and dignity they are owed as human beings. Is that so much to ask?
