| - I loved this buffet! Mainly because I like simple comfort food and this is what they serve. No "Wicked Mac and Cheese" or fancy Sliders with gourmet sauces. This is good old Americanized International Food. Orange Chicken - one of my favs. The pizza is actually a thicker type crust - a nice change from this cheap, er, I mean, gourmet pizza's some buffet's try to pass as pizza so they can validate their higher prices. They had normal (OK, to me that means Americanized) Mexican meat so I enjoy a nice soft taco.
Do they have as many selections as others buffet's? No. It is a Seafood Buffet? No, although they do have some seafood. While their desert area is small, it contained pretty much everything you needed. Heck, even the Bellagio has gone to soft-serve ice cream now so don't expect Gelato at this level. (Check out the pictures, you can see they have individual rows of items instead an entire tray filled. It's possible they have any many deserts as bigger buffet's, they just don't place it all out in front of you.)
This buffet is also reasonably priced. Again, no $39-$54 price point like some others. If you earn enough points, I think you also earn a free buffet that day, but don't quote me. These offers change quickly.
We went on a Wednesday afternoon around noonish and there no wait at all. Another plus. The service was friendly and efficient.
Honestly, we go to Vegas 3-4 times a year and usually don't make it up to the Palms area but we had a coupon so gave it a try. Will it be a regular stop for us? Maybe, maybe not, but it's definitely on our radar now and good in-expensive option when we're hungry.
