I've gone to this doctor twice now and they told me they took my insurance (United Health Care).i went once for a check up and again for the follow up. During the checkup he took blood work, and did not tell me he sends it to a separate company, (who will then bill me $50 later), and that I would have to come back to see what the results were. After a week or so I go back and he tells me I'm "fine". So I asked about why I am cold all the time, even in hot weather and if it might be just because I'm petite and he says "probably". Then I ask why I have hiccups every day multiple times a day and why they hurt and he says it "doesn't seem like a problem". That conversation took less then 5 minutes and I paid the 25 dollar copay so I decided eh doesn't seem like he cares, I won't be coming back. Then a month goes by and I get a 300 dollar bill and a 50 dollar bill separate from the 300 and I call them. The lady tells me it's "your fault for not calling your insurance and asking if we took your kind". And continues to say it's my fault for not asking if the labs went to a separate company as well. I'm asking questions and she is just telling me it's my fault for not knowing that Maxwell Medical Group didn't take my insurance. I could not even get a sentence in because she kept talking over me. If you're looking for a place that is friendly and informative this isn't the place for you.
