  • Another exciting farmers market find! It was the words "hibiscus macarons" that caught my attention while browsing the stalls at a farmers market at Tivoli Village on Saturday afternoon. A box of four medium-sized macarons was being offered for $5, so we tried them out. They tasted fresh and all four flavors were excellent: salted caramel, piña colada, hibiscus, and chocolate. The cookies had a little texture from the almond flour, like it wasn't as finely ground as I've come to expect, but they were colorful, moist, and chewy. They were attractively presented in a gift box, and I'll definitely keep this in mind for a party favor or small gift!
