  • I was considering cutting the relaxer out of my hair and going natural. I called this place and spoke to a very nice and encouraging lady on the phone. I made a consultation appointment for Tuesday after work. I went in for the consultation and met with Ms. Bowie, a very nice hair stylist. She was knowledgeable, patient, and personable. She even gave me a hug ( I look much younger than my 31 years, so people tend to refer to me as "cute" and baby me, but I needed a hug so..). I made my Big Chop appt. for Saturday. SO wonderful was the consultation, that I ended up being overwhelmed by the positivity of the experience and excitement that I called Thursday morning to see if I could get in any earlier. They accomodated me and I went in for the BC, a steam treatment, and a complimentary style. Total $80. I loved Ms. Bowie's attitude. She answered my dumb questions. She didn't even mind that I brought my kid at the last minute. She gave him her Ipad to play with and got to work. She cut the relaxed ends off, steamed it, and did a twist out. Wonderful. The only downside was that I didn't like the products (like I know anything about products), but I don't like the greasy feeling in my hair because I'm constantly touching it and hate to have to wipe my hands every time. Everyone loved the new do though. I will definitely go back when I become more familiar with what products I like and styles that I want.
