On December 20 I took my family to HI for Christmas vacation. The US Airways clerk in Denver (DIA) got my boarding pass so screwed when he issued it (at the same time he issued all 6 of the rest of my family members )that MY FAMILY wound up flying on US Airways flight to LAX and then on to Honolulu via Hawaiian Air (with considerable layover) then HA flight on to Lihue. The boarding passes that he issued had me flying US Airways to LAX and then direct to Lihue Kauai.
Although though the difference in flights was a bit inconvenient, that was not the end of the story. Because of the US Airways clerk's screwup, I was not present to board the HA flight to Honolulu then connecting to Lihue, they voided all return flight reservations for my family as well as for me. This then caused me to waste nearly two days of my vacation time trying to reinstate my flights. Everyone I spoke to at US Airways and at American Airlines (with exception of one lady named PJ) was very ambivalent to my situation and really did not seem interested in helping me remedy a problem caused by them.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FLYING US AIRWAYS OR AMERICAN AIRLINES EVER!!
