  • I have been coming here forever and it is by far my favourite bakery in Toronto. When you first walk in, you may not initially agree with my 4 star rating, but remember appearance is not always everything, and in this case Malta Bake Shop is like the plain looking girl in school with the incredible personality. If you are a fan of European Style baked goods, you are going to love this place. The most popular item on their menu is their famous Pastizzi's (cheese filled pastries baked to perfection). This is their signature dish, and they bake thousands of them weekly. They taste best when they are fresh out of the oven. If you take them home, just re-heat them in your oven for 5 minutes or give them 15 seconds in the microwave If you have a sweet tooth, ask for the date filled pastries, or the traditional Maltese biscuits. Service is always great here and this bakery is very old school, remember to bring cash.
