  • How do you spread good deeds to the world, friends, family members?...through action...and Yoga On the Lawn, organized by TruFusuon Summerlin is doing just that. You will see people starting to gathering around 6pm (Thursdays) on the Lawn...Just catching up with friends, reading a book, meditating, or just being with themselves in nature. It starts at 6:30pm and finishes by 8pm...often a little earlier. During this free yoga session, you will bathe in nature...from sun to stars...Not only nurturing your body but mind as the breath becomes the focus for 60 minutes and the noise we call life is put on hold. Class is lead by well respected local Yoga teachers mainly from TruFusion Summerlin staff. June 1st, it was Yelp's David V. who guided 202  yogis plus 3 four legged yogi doggies. While TruFusion provides the instructors, there is no pressure or push to their studio, it is such a blessing to literally see people from dozens of different studios come together to practice in community...there were dad's manning strollers waiting while mom enjoyed the class, couples practicing together, mothers and daughters side-by-side on their mats, and small groups of friends spread throughout the lawn...some patrons paused to take pictures, and, of course, it wouldn't be community yoga without a baby crying for a moment. This week was extra fun for me, not only because our fellow Yelper was leading the class, but I got to practice in between my favorite Yelp/friend and Young yogi...it was also amazing to see lots of familiar faces I haven't seen in quite a long time. Yoga on the Lawn started months before TruFusion Summerlin opened last year, but TFS continues to make an effort to bring goodness to the community. There are many staff from TFS that set up and break down the sound systems, tables, and lights...This week frontdesk manager Michael and teacher Angela gave their time and smile from beginning to end...many thanks. There are yoga mats for you to borrow just in case you need one. Yoga on the Lawn is free and open to all...just sign in at the table when you come...beyond that, all you need is yourself and a bottle of water...and did I already mentioned it's Free????? You can park in covered parking garage or in the parking spots directly next to the lawn. - 2017 review #46 -
