| - Great location! Intersection of two major streets. Parking adequate depending on time of day...Friday evening/Saturday evening could be crowded.
Thursday evening was very busy but we were seated immediately and there were a few empty tables that filled quickly...if waiting is a concern, you may want to call and check in advance.
So, we have determined that this place is popular and here's why:
Very diverse menu of Mexican and North American food...emphasis on Mexican, large portions, cooked fresh and served hot, friendly and efficient servers and staff, wonderful atmosphere with lots of odd bits and pieces for decoration, good people watching too.
This reminded me of our favorite place in Santa Fe with an Arizona tilt. We both ordered a burro plate and almost finished them...major portions, very tasty, very well prepared...we might have been better off had we skipped lunch.
We will be back next time we're in Phoenix.
Spoke with the manager and two staffers, asked questions, got good straight answers...Mi Patio has been around for along time, it's a well established local "go to" place. Well accepted menu. Agreeable atmosphere, friendly staff, no rough edges. Reliable resource is the idea that comes to mind.
If you like good Mexican food, you should try this one. Bring your best appetite and not too much money...not cheap but I'll bet you can't eat enough to hurt your food budget.
