  • We walked here from the Hyatt on 2nd Street and it was an easy stroll. We queued up and got a few coffees to lift the early morning haze from our brains. That was some super tasty java, I must say. Great start. We ordered the Waffle (well done) and Peppered Bacon and also the Skinny eggs with the side salad and apple chicken sausage and spinach mixed in with a single pancake side. Holy Mother of Waffle Nirvana!!! I am still dreaming of that first crunchy, tender, savory and slightly sweet Waffle. It literally blew my doors off. The bacon was perfectly salty and peppery next to the sweet syrup. Ahhhhhh ... easily an addiction. The skinny egg dish silenced my partner for a good five minutes except for the mumbled "Oh my gosh, this is sooooooo good" in between forkfuls of steaming hot eggs with gooey cheese and sautéed spinach punctuated by occasional "pancakes so amazing" ... and a sound that was almost an unintelligible bleat for the lemon dressed arugula salad. Seriously good breakfast, folks. Service outstanding. Prices totally reasonable. Almost every table around us had at least one order of the Sunday Special Steak and Eggs. The steaks looked nice and plump and juicy and folks really seemed to enjoy them. MBB is located near the University and I imagine there is a line around the block to get in here when schools in session. We had to wait 20 mins on Fathers Day which wasn't bad at all. Guess that might explain all of the Steak and Egg orders.
