| - We used Kick Ass Kakes for our wedding of 50 guests back in March.
Overall, we were very impressed with the cake and the pricing. The only problem we had was communication with the bakery. I called a few weeks before the wedding date to ask about a custom wedding cake. I ended up getting their answering machine--which is fair enough, as I assumed they were just busy and unable to come to the phone. I left a message with my details hoping someone would call me back the next day. The next day came, and I never got a call back. I called again that day, no response again. I had heard really good things about KAK, so I didn't want to give up just yet. I called a third time and ended up talking to the owner. After discussing details, I sent an email with a picture and more details about the cake we wanted. I expected to get a confirmation email back, but it took a fourth phone call to actually confirm the cake details, delivery, and cost. Not a huge problem, overall, but if I hadn't been so keen about KAK, I may have given up.
Once everything was sorted, though, it was smooth sailing from then on. For a small fee, we were able to have the cake delivered directly to the venue on the day of the wedding. We paid by check when they delivered it, and they even set up the cake for us. It certainly made wedding preparations less stressful!
The cake was delicious, and our guests loved it! My husband and I took home the top tier to enjoy after the wedding!
KAK can accommodate for any occasion and cake size, and their prices are reasonable. They have a wide variety of cake flavors and frosting flavors, and can customize cakes any way you choose. They even have an online cake designer if you're looking for a simple cake.
I would definitely recommend KAK to anyone looking for a budget friendly cake for their event!
