  • LISTEN TO ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS!!! * Stressed after cancelled flight and rebooking flight on another airline to make it on time for a relative's funeral service * Was going to be charged for insurance because rep was sneaky on how he presented it * Needed a GPS system because I didn't know my way around AZ, rep stated I needed to upgrade * Asked about the difference and rep was very vague about it, stating "Not very much." Should have been my first RED FLAG * Took upgrade because I just wanted to get on the road because I had less than an hour to make it to the service * Once in car, tried NAVI system, no NAVI system connected * Had to go back and get a car with actually had a NAVI system * Gave me car that apparently was in some sort of accident, but the rep downstairs stated the bulging fender was due to heat * Person checking car thought that was silly and stated that who ever had it before me must have hit something * Previous person said it was drivable, so the person checking let me go * While driving, car shook like crazy * Didn't have time to go back and exchange again * Got to service just in time * Called Dollar Customer Support (very helpful...that's where the first star comes in) and told them the situation * Customer Support set it up for an exchange of a different car same day (keep in mind it is now 9pm) * Drove back to Dollar, told them I was here to exchange, not return. * Person checking in was rather rude when I told him I was here to exchange, not return and informed me to go to window * Person at window, who was the rep that told me it was drivable, told me that they do not have any more convertibles * I told him I didn't want a convertible, I didn't want a GPS anymore, I just want a safe car to drive in * Gave me a basic car that worked out fine for the rest of my trip (Reason for other star) * Original bill with upgrade was $200+, ended up paying $50+ in the end (Big difference, compared to the counter rep's vague "Not very much.") Again, LISTEN TO ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS!!!! Go the extra mile (so to speak) and pay a little more for honest and better service. Oh, if you decide to not listen and still use Dollar, if you don't want insurance, be sure to state it yourself and if you don't want their Fuel Purchase Option, be sure to state that as well. They will automatically put it on your bill if you don't.
