This is a convenient location for me at the moment. With Albertsons being right across the street and basically the same nonsense I would rather go to Frys all together. Oh yea can you hear the enthusiasm about this review?
The deli meats they have are terrifying. What happened to Boars Head or something decent. I have no idea what that other company is they use, I already forgot it. The store isn't exciting to go in. It just looks and feels old.
I got so lost trying to find everything I needed and walked up and down the aisles 3 times looking like a lost puppy or child that ran away from their parents. Once I finally found my items I went to the checkout line. The guy checking me out was super friendly to the person in front of me and mainly because it was a lady who looked decent and he was probably trying to holler, who knows.
So I barely get a hello to begin with and I'm not looking like a scumbag either, I dressed nicely but come on, not even a hello? Whatever. So he rang me up. Now I don't use my cards a lot and the whole chip thing has people in disarray. Well I was that way when I checked out. The chip card POS machine didn't work. It kept saying can't read, reinsert. I'm holding up the line embarrassed and people probably thought I couldn't afford $30 in groceries. So I'm about halfway to ripping the machine out or just leaving my groceries and saying f it all and walking out and it finally worked. No thank you, no good bye, nothing, it was like the bad ending to a date or something. I'm surprised he didn't make me bag my own groceries. Overall, you probably could tell I have little enthusiasm for this Safeway. Convenient or not I'm out.
Oh and seeing the depressing Wells Fargo staff doesn't help this review either. If someone is going to co-op a space at least make sure everyone had the expectation that this is a branding issue on all ends. And the logo of Wells Fargo is on the opposite entrance to where it is. Makes no sense. I want to know what door to go in not walk by the service desk and ppl checking out.
