  • Wow, not a normal place you would think of to look for me but for this venue last night it was perfect! I had the privilege to attend a wonderful charity event (thank you Tara for thinking of me and we were happy to help out with donations!) and I was looking forward to seeing yet another small piece of Calgary. The space was perfect. It was celler-ish, dark and moody but also very clean and the staff were helpful always coming around to see if your drinks were ok. Some ordered food here as well and I got the impression that it was pretty good! (fish and chips, chickpea fries and chicken fingers are what I got the lo-down on!) We ourselves did not eat nor stay for the band (Fri and Sat nights!) but it was nice mingling and learning about upcoming events and what this bar has to offer... IE on Tues nights there is punk rock bingo and karaoke on Sunday nights. Apparently the singers that go up are from bands and are not too bad on the mike! Anyone could walk into this place and not feel judged. It just has that kind of vibe to it, anything goes!
