  • I couldn't wait to rush home to write this review! We've gone to a few different groomers and they've been okay. But, we have found AMAZING in Lisa at Alo's Doghouse Grooming. I saw them on Yelp late last night, sent an email asking if they had any openings today and at 8am they responded with a "yes"!! Sophie was there by 9am. As soon as we walked in I noticed the difference in this salon. It was super clean (no animal shelter odor), it was nicely decorated (they take pride in their business) and there were dog water bowls throughout (they care for their clients). They use an 'open concept' but it's very calm. The dogs have access all over the salon, including going outside to a secured yard whenever they want. Lisa said they spend time with the dogs so they get comfortable with their surroundings before they jump into grooming. Lisa is also very gentle with the pets and knowledgeable with the pet owners. My Sophie looks amazing!!! She just got groomed at another facility two weeks ago and she looked too shaggy. Lisa cleaned her right up. Lisa also got Sophie's nails trimmed/grinded shorter than anyone else has. In the past, I was told Sophie's nail bed was too long. Lisa had no problems. On the way back to p/u Sophie I took my cat, Finn, in for a nail trim. Lisa did amazing with him. He was so good for her too!! The prices are excellent. I was expecting to pay much more than I normally do because they did so much more. But, nope, I paid the same as the other salons. They only accept check or cash for payment. I believe we have finally found our permanent groomer!!
