  • Pat Catan's Bridal is a football field sized building on Pearl Road next to a church. Enter the front door and a grandma was sitting in the gloomy vestibule to direct us. My mission to find a yellow dress for my sister's wedding. Walk thru the wedding gown first are the white dresses then further in notice that the ecru / off white dresses have different darker lighting maybe because of those deeds in the dark that prohibit one from wearing white? Enter the Mother of the Bride area where black dresses line one wall. Even more two-piece matronly dresses hanging in closets with the doors flung wide. Next are the dancing with the stars dresses then finally the rainbow of color explodes at about halfway through the building the maiden area. Mind you I'm no maiden but my 45 year-old baby sis is to wed , I've never taken that leap. Anyway, they had thousands if not more bridesmaid dresses in every color imaginable but none were for sale. Not one of those dresses could be purchased and put in a bag. All were samples to be ordered that would take two solid months to obtain all at three times the cost of the shoddily made dresses available at David's Bridal. With makes such as Ursula and Daymor. Seems this market is ripe right in the middle for well make dresses that are ready-to-wear in the $150-$200 range.
