| - I recently had some damage incurred on my rims from two different events. I had some minor curb rash on the rear driver rim and hit an excessive pot hole during some night driving that caused BOTH the front and rear passenger side rims to get bent. My rims were custom ordered and took weeks to arrive, so you can imagine my utter disgust and feelings of heartbreak when the damages occurred. i took my vehicle to Sam's club where the rims were originally mounted and balanced, hoping the vibrations i was feeling in the steering wheel as i drove was caused by unbalanced tires from the jolt they took when i hit the pot hole. Alas, that was NOT the case. I was informed that both my passenger rims were bent, and that the only place the techs knew of to get the rims fixed was a place that didn't have any way to get the tires off the rims. So i was being told that i had to take my car somewhere to have the tires taken off, the rubber removed from the rims, and then somehow transport my rims to this repair shop for fixing. This DID NOT appeal to me. So i did a little bit more research and stumbled upon Hub Cap Annie's. I was familiar with them in regards to getting hubcaps and rims, but had no idea that they did rim repair. With a glimmer of hope on the horizon, i dialed their number and got Annie on the phone. She told it me it was best to come during the week and not the weekends for rim repair, as their specialist didn't work weekends. She told me she could have me back on the road in a couple of hours at rates that i found too good to be true. She also told me that if i had all three repairs done at the same time she would give me a package deal.
I took the car in the next week after talking to her on a sunny Tuesday morning right after they opened. The place was empty except for the techs, and they quickly took my car in the back to assess the damage. Within ten minutes they were showing me the dents in the rims, and were quoting me a price on straightening out the rims and fixing the curb rash, 'with paint that will be really close.' I had read reviews on both yelp and their web page about their work, so i wasn't really concerned with 'close' paint. I authorized them to begin the labor, and i went to breakfast. It was less than an hour later and i was back in their office being handed my keys. i inspected the curb rashed rim and it looked brand new. No sign of the curb rash, and their paint matched perfectly. I happily paid for the repairs, and climbed in the car with a little hesitation. Would there be any vibration? Was it possible that i was able to get my rims fixed for the steal of a price they gave me? i rolled down Charleston as fast as i could and the car rode smooth as glass. I wanted to start crying tears of joy. Thank you soooooo much, HCA's!
You've got a customer for life that will praise and pass on this story as much as i can. YOU ROCK!
