  • I have been a resident of Mount Washington for around 7 years now and have always supported Foodland. I'm a very frequent shopper, considering I like to cook and keep my shelves and refrigerator at home stocked. They've had what I needed when I needed it. Up until recently (as in the past couple months) you can't seem to get anything you want. Most of the shelves look completely bare. While looking for some heavy cream (which there was none) a mother and daughter made a comment as to "Maybe they are going out of business" The daughter replied with "They are just having financial difficulties". How they are under financial difficulties is beyond me - considering that there is never a time when the store is empty with shoppers. I live within a few blocks of Foodland and the convenience alone makes me come back. Now it's been so frustrating that I haven't even wasted my time in going there. I have now fallen back on driving to the south side for Giant Eagle. Even though this is completely out of my way - I know they will have what I'm looking for. Please Giant Eagle take over Foodland - or anyone else...
