| - I booked a shellac mani and regular pedi and asked that they be done at the same time. The lady said she would do her best to accommodate me (it was my lunch hour).
When I got there, a male nail technician sat down in front of my pedicure chair. I was a bit uncomfortable with having a man give me a pedicure, so I asked if it was possible that a female do it. This turned into a big scene, and the only lady who spoke English in the place told me nastily "if you want a female to do it, you need to request it on the phone". I was a bit surprised given that in most places, only females are doing nails.
In any event, they switched me to a woman, who worked at a snails pace and did a decent, but not great job. Then a walk-in came, so someone else attended to her, instead of doing my mani/pedi at the same time. 1.5 hours later, i was finally done, and the job was mediocre. They also do that move where they put your total in on a calculator, where they include tax. I always insist in paying by credit card so they actually have to remit the tax they are charging me. Would never go back to this place.
Also, there was a five year old kid lying around dead bored on the couch watching an ipad and rolling around on the floor. I guess they couldnt find childcare either that day.
