  • I hate to do this, to any business in Cleveland, but in a service oriented business- customer service should be the number one priority. I have been coming to this salon since I moved to Ohio City, 4 years ago, to the same stylist. Unfortunately my stylist quit, from what I gather it was unexpected and not a planned departure. This of course stinks, you get comfortable with your stylist after that long. However, no one called to inform me of his departure- I had an appt scheduled with him the following week. I found out after a girlfriend called trying to get an appt with him and let me know after the fact. Upon calling in, I informed them I had an appt with Matt next week but I understand he no longer works there but no one had called me. The woman who answered advised me they'd been making calls but maybe they had the wrong number for me [they've been calling the same number for 4 yrs to confirm my appts] She read the number and it was correct, she then mentioned there was a note in the computer that someone tried calling me and left a message. While I understand calls sometimes do not go through, I have never heard of issues with a voicemail. After advising her no one left me a message she again was stuck on the fact that someone called and left a message. I then asked who my appt was with to which she told me I was technically not on the schedule as they weren't sure if I would be okay with another stylist. At this point I became aggravated, no message was left for me and in 6 Days I would've walked in to find I was not "technically" on their schedule. The woman was still hell bent that someone called an left me a message, but asked if I would still like to come to another stylist. I will no longer be going to The Studio, not even on the basis that Matt is no longer there- it is simply the lack of customer service. Instead of admitting someone dropped the ball and try getting a customer through the door she wanted to argue that someone tried informing me he left. Had she handled the entire situation differently I would've tried going to another stylist.
