  • Blaring, bizarre, polka music, long check out line with just one cashier, confusing signs in multiple languages. I feel like I am shopping in the Twilight Zone. I stopped by because I knew that Bashas owns Food City and they carry my favorite coffee at a reasonable price and I was already at Fiesta Mall about 1/2 mile away, so it was close. The shopping center in which this store is located is really run down and most of the stores in the center are closed. There was a car wash at the corner of the shopping center and it has closed as well. The neighborhood is run down with lots of graffiti. Panhandlers accost you in the parking lot and the city of Mesa has signs up that "bait cars" are being used to catch car thieves. I found my coffee (thus the 2 stars), endured the long line, as was thrilled to get the heck out of there. I do not think I will be going back.
