| - If you live in Las Vegas, there's never a shortage of Filipino restaurants.
First time to check out this joint. Came here for lunch. It's a spacious and clean restaurant. We ordered pompano sinigang soup (fish
sour soup), Thelma's special Lechon kawali (deep fried pork) with chopped onions and sliced tomatoes, and the recommended adobo fried rice.
The sinigang soup was cooked with lots of chopped tomatoes that the broth turned a little darker. Quite different than the the original recipe but it works, it tasted great! Pompano fish was really fresh.
Thelma's special Lechon kawali is a seasoned deep fried pork belly (chopped) served with fresh diced onions, and fresh tomatoes lightly seasoned with soy sauce and vinegar. The pork and fried skin was equally portioned, meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. This was my favorite and tasted authentic!
The adobo rice was mild to taste and popular. If you say adobo even if mixed and cooked as fried rice, I was expecting a well seasoned, deeper and richer flavor
with a hint of garlic, this Adobo fried rice was below my expectations. Just needs a little tweaking.
Overall: clean restaurant, You order and they cook it fresh, price is reasonable, and served fast.
Pleasant, friendly staff.
