| - We had them section off a big room in our house into a bedroom and a TV room. The bid placed was reasonable, however was more than 3 others we received. We took the higher bid because they seemed professional and had an excellent reputation. The work they provided, for the most part was good, however it was like pulling teeth to get them to do what we wanted and what was promised. The first day (framing the wall) went very well, however it significantly slowed from there. The crew leader had many excuses and rarely showed up to check on his people. The electrician was not only argumentative, but did not provide the service that was requested. He placed wires into the ceiling and wall (did not hook up to power), bent our the switch plates and then consistently argued with me. I ended up kicking him out of the house. He returned 20
Minutes later and just walked in without knocking and started to walk up stairs. I flipped. The supervisor (Carlos) made me feel as if I was being overbearing and would make promises that were not kept. I attempted to fix the problem myself, however, once I removed the plate from the switch, there were bare wires exposed and I was shocked when I attempted to unscrew the switch from the wall. I called the owner and the company sent an additional electrician out to fix his mistakes who told Me "this is what you get when you cut corners on an electrician". Additionally, the site supervisor would tell me that workers would arrive at specific times and I would end up calling to figure out what was going on. One Saturday the painter did not show up, they could not finish on time and told Me that a painter was not available on Sunday. On Monday, the painter showed up for 2 hrs, painted one wall and said he was tired and would not be back. It took me calling the owner to get more painters out and they stayed until 8pm to finish the job. The work was good at best, but was 4 days behind schedule. The last 2 days the supervisor did not even show up. He told me he was on another job. I did not feel that the stress was worth the money and quality of the job. I was made to feel like our job was not a priority and at times felt like I was the one keeping track of the workers.
