| - Went in to check out a car. Waited for twenty minutes, past appointment time (which was confirmed with both a salesperson, Jonathan Velasco, and sales manager, Jesus) before someone could actually help me with the particular vehicle I was interested in. As we went to go see the car for the first time, in person, Jesus failed to alert me to two dents, an antenna held together with duct tape, and non-operational license plate illuminators, prior to taking it out for an extended night time test drive.
Jonathan acted like it just wasn't normal for a used car prospective buyer to get a third-party inspection and insisted to rely on the dealer's own inspection of the Toyota. Took the vehicle in for third-party inspection and after returning the vehicle to dealer for dealer to fix discrepancies that inspectors found, Jonathan stated that the dealer's mechanic found the discrepancies did not actually exist. Jonathan referred to the vehicle's fluids as 'oils.'
Booked appointment to take out vehicle for another third-party inspection. After I arrived at the dealership (a 30 minute drive) to pick-up the vehicle, Jonathan shamelessly informed me that the vehicle was actually sold the previous night. I Informed the sales manager, Juan, and Juan said it was normal for a car to be sold, in such a way. I informed Juan that Jonathan did not respond to my inquiry to make down payment on vehicle so that such was not possible. Juan just texted on his phone and did not respond to me, through awkward silence. Jonathan shamelessly asked if I was interested in a different vehicle.
BBB complaint, next.
