| - Went here for a group dinner. First walking in, things at least smelled promising (ahhh, the smell of smoked bbq). Alas, the meat did not hold up to the promise. On offer we had ribs, pulled pork and some sort of beef (steak medallions or something like that). Pulled pork was rather dry and less than tender (and there was no bbq sauce to go with it). I didn't have the other 2 meats, but multiple others in our party did and everyone was less than impressed with the quality of the meat (kind of important for a bbq joint).
We also had cheese curds, salad, potato salad, mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries (guess they must have a stockpile of potatoes). I didn't have the salad, but both the mashed and sweet potato fries were delicious. The cheese curds were subpar (everyone also thought the same...they tasted like they were over-fried and had been sitting around for awhile).
Then for dessert there was a turtle cheesecake - AWESOME! but, they didn't have enough for the whole group?!? When we asked for more so everyone could have some, we were told there wasn't any more, so they brought out brownies and turtle bars. I didn't have either, but the brownies were praised, as were the turtle bars.
So the food seems very hit-or-miss. If you think it's worth the chance, you might give it a shot...but I would recommend looking for some better options. (Note: As a group, we had buffet-style food, so possibly this affected quality, but nonetheless you would think if they want people to come back, they would try harder. Guess they don't care, and I won't be back.)
