Was craving Japanese cheesecake and was in the area so decided to give this's try. The store is pretty simple, clean. No prices posted just 3 flavours written on a chalkboard: original, chocolate and coffee. They are $11 inclusive. I decided to go for the original because it would allow me to taste the real cheesecake and compare it to uncle Tetsu.
It was about 8:20pm ish when I was in the store and they close at 9pm. There were still quite a lot of cheesecakes left in the display fridge and I doubt they were going to sell all of them in 30 mins- so I'm willing to bet the morning purchasers are getting yesterday's cakes. Maybe they throw them out or give them away? But there was certainly no end of day deal here.
The cheesecake seemed a bit dark on the surface actually but it was moist. It had a nice texture and was more like a sponge cake with a light cheese flavour. It hit the spot but I do prefer Tetsu better, it's always fresh and still warm (made to order), not sitting in a fridge waiting for customers.
I would recommend this place, it's good to try it out and everybody's taste is different and maybe you will love it! Would I come back? Maybe. But if I if a choice between LMS or Tetsu, I'd go for Tetsu.
