  • We've loved Shucks for a long time at the other location (and also the location that closed a few years back). About the Durango location, I can add they bend over backward to please the customers! We had a marvelous lunch. As starters, we shared a bowl of their fantastic, peppery, creamy clam chowder with lots of chunks of clam and a good clam flavor. Next, oysters Rockefeller -- a delicacy you can't get many places. Add a splash of lemon and enjoy. The shrimp cocktail contained seven huge, fresh, delectable shrimp with a very pleasant cocktail sauce. The Big Mothershucker (yes, you read that right) is perhaps the best burger you will ever eat. Share it unless you are insanely hungry -- it contains a full pound of hamburger plus much more. The combination of ingredients is so good! On top of all this deliciousness, the item that blew me away this time was garlic fries. At last, a place that realizes garlic is not a word to be whispered delicately, but an elation to be freely enjoyed! The garlic was delicious even on its own. The fries were fantastic. How do they do it? What a meal. As if that were not enough, Monday is $2 domestic draft day. There are different special items every day. They've also got great pasta, crabcakes, all sorts of crab, shrimp, oh man. If seafood is your thing, this is the place. If seafood is not your thing, this is still the place!
