I really do not like to write bad reviews, however I left this place in tears. I was referred to Nadya actually and was excited to work with her. I took my dress in for the first fitting all happy. Once I had it on .... the negative comments started. She first told me that I would have to purchase push up pads myself and seemed irritated I did not bring them. Then after explaining to me that my dress is too long for me and she "doesn't understand why anyone would sell me this dress as it's for a tall person" she told me that is would be over $1000 to alter my dress! I do not have a crazy dress at all, a Melissa Sweet lace from Davids Bridal. And also suggested that I just go out and get a new dress, with my wedding around the corner.
Almost in tears at this point I suggested maybe altering from the top of the waist and not the bottom, since I had "13 layers" to alter. She went around me and pinned it up. She then said okay I can work with this and explained it would still be over $700. After saying okay in a haze she told me that if I lost weight in my upper thighs that I would be more comfortable when sitting in my dress, I could not believe you'd ever say this to a bride.
You can tell Nadya takes her work very seriously and she clearly is successful. Maybe I was just not meant to be her client or she was too busy and could not say. After going to work that following Monday and talking to co-workers I discovered that alterations should never cost that much and my dress actually does have its own build in boos tare (bra) so I should not need to go out and buy bra pads.
I picked up my dress 3 days later after contacting another alteration place, I did not want to pay over $700 to have my dress altered. Thank goodness she did not start on my beautiful dress that I love, pfft tell me to get another dress. I'm just sharing my experience, I would not recommend any of my friends to Nadya.
