Okay, so maybe this place is located on the same lot as a cabaret and quicky motel, but don't let that fool you into thinking this place shouldn't be visited!
Perfect for a late night meal after a show at the Music Factory, Midnight Diner welcomed us with bright neon lights and a staff that was more enthusiastic than a well tipped stripper. I'm pretty sure there were more waitresses than patrons at this time of night and they were all giddy over what ever song was playing on the jukebox. Our very own Pourina R was seen dancing with waitresses at said jukebox and I got called out for singing along to some 80s pop ballad. This was the fun type of atmosphere the diner had at midnight.
I got the french toast and, OMG, the slices of bread were gigante. One and a half inch thick challah bread dipped in delicious french toast batter, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with syrup. It was so enjoyable (and filling) that I was able to revisit it again the next morning.
My dining mates all got fried chicken with mac n cheese and some other side. I recall all mac n cheese being gone by the end (or middle) of the meal, so it must've been good.
Parking lot is unpaved, bathrooms are clean, and jukebox is ready to go. I believe this is now my favorite diner in the QC.
