  • We were downtown today and decided to stop into cheffinis for vegan dogs. I've had regular cheffinis back in my meat eating days, but haven't been there since going vegan over a year ago. I've heard the vegan dog is amazing and I was hoping the hype was for good reason.. We ordered the special which is a PBR & dog. We got our beers and sat. After what seemed like a really long wait our dogs came out. The dogs were as amazing as I remember! The vegan dog is flavorful and chewy but not rubbery like faux meats are sometimes. The toppings were great as usual (that pineapple sauce and crumbled chips are soooo yummy!). As for service, that leaves much to be desired. As well as time for the food to come, although there was only one other person there. I appreciate that it's all fresh, but I think we waited about 15 mins..for hot dogs. Nonetheless, it's vegan hot dogs so I'll deal w it for my occasional hot dog desire! So really my 4 stars is for the food, if I was rating service and wait time it would be a 2-3.
