I'm not sure why the other Yelpers didn't notice the many signs on the building indicating this is an ER. Even when it was being built it was advertised as a freestanding ER and not an Urgent Care.
That aside, my 6 year old injured his hand and thumb while playing. I did not want to go to the regular ER because our last run with my other child ended up taking 9 hours just for her broken leg to be diagnosed-- so we ended up here.
We were in the door for about 15 minutes when we were called back. EVERYONE was awesome. The nurses were great and really truly cared; they even managed to make him crack some smiles. After x-rays were taken they were sent for review by a specialist and we heard back in less than an hour. The doc came in and was very gentle with delivering the news to me without freaking out the kiddo. Holy goodness his delivery was perfect.
My son was fiberglassed and splinted up, given meds, referred out, and had excellent instructions on how to take care of his "new arm" until he gets his cast. Our total time from in to out was about 2 hours. I'll pay whatever to have that experience again. Thanks guys and keep up the great work!
