I have been a patient here for quite sometime my husband was also a patient here. I believe I started coming here in 2007 so yes long term patient but something happened to Sunstone dental not sure when it happened but you would get the feeling you were just a (Big fee)walking in the door this office became all about the up sell which was ok with me I'm not easily sold.
Unfortunately for Sunstone they treated my husband badly he was informed at a prior appointment he was due for a cleaning he made the appointment on the day of the appointment he was told your insurance has approved the cleaning and his portion was 400.00 for a cleaning what?? He said no thanks and came home. I called Sunstone spoke with a gentleman who I was definatly bothering told me his appointment was for a deep root cleaning. Which is what I suspected. The problem how could nobody bother to explain to my husband that it was a deep root cleaning painful and quite expensive.
He was furious had no idea what a deep root cleaning consisted of.
Informed me he was not ever going back there.
The work done on my mouth was nothing that any other dentist could not handle so we found another. I have not been to see him yet, but my husband liked him. Said he did not feel the pressure of the up sell. I do feel as though this practiced moved from patient care to how much cash can we make off of this patient. Which is fine for carpet cleaning not so much from your dentist.
