I don't know how the commission works at the att stores but it needs to change. I went in to upgrade my phones and I've been with att for years. I go in and upgrade and also get direct tv as a promotional thing for the phones...I ask about mobile hotspot as an alternative for current provider. Sales says yes if u get a great signal on your phone it will also be the same signal(lie #1) I said ok and speed should be as fast as the internet selection (I had to increase to the premium in order to get the speed for the demands I expressed to him computers stream tv and ps4 gaming.. should be plenty fast and can handle it (2nd lie) I asked about throttling...oh I should not get throttled where I live it's for highly populated areas. (3rd lie) all this for only $20 a month no mention of contract but In fact cancel anytime(4th lie) seems great really gave it a try wanted it to work saving so much money I thought....I called one time because I was not getting a signal anywhere in may house for about 4-5 days as I don't use it that often. They said reset it and if not send back for new one she had no experience with it. Also told me that day 6 of billing and middle of day I'm being throttled. So today I decided I can't deal with the lack of connection as my wife works from home and can't be throttled. C/s rep stated under contract $140 to cancel the service that does not work as stated and I asked for manager ....waited 15 minutes and Dana starts talking like she is the manager and after I realized it I called her out and was furious how they would piss a customer off over $140 after I pay more than 300 a month seems like a no brainer to make a customer happy they lose nothing. I will be calling back to talk further. So tired of the lies and greed of businesses. Seriously not looking for something for free but just cancel.
