Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting rid of that high pitched buzz. I can actually come here now.
So I've been shopping here on and off for the past six months. It's a little quicker to get to than Woodman's for me. So it's great for a small trip or the times you forget something. Otherwise I still prefer Woodman's. The prices are better and I get a wider selection.
This is the only downtown grocery store worth going to though. It has a better selection than Cap Center. Prices are about the same. Employees are fine.
The reason it gets a 5-star? Their fresh foods are on point! You can generally get almost any fresh fruit pre-cut and packaged nicely. The fruit is actually delicious, fresh, ripe, and well priced. The only thing not worth getting pre-cut are the grapes. Those are too over priced for a wash and de-stem.
They also had pre-cut jackfruit for the longest time! I really hope they start adding random pre-cut fruit. I would try just about anything so long as I didn't have to figure out how it works.
Festival also has a really great spread of different sorts of salads. Though if there's an employee reading this, please start putting out more salads with spinach or baby spinach! I'd really like to be lazy and buy a pre-made salad and a bunch of pre-cut fruit every day, but I don't like lettuce. I can't be the only one.
I'd definitely recommend stopping in for the fresh produce, but would still go to Woodman's for anything else.
