  • Been here for awhile.... a few years. Staff up front has been absolutely wonderful. Enjoyed their Parents Nite Out, and their camps are one of the best. But....I am beginning to find that safety is a concern when my children attend their Friday Night open gyms. It seems a group of uncultured less-thans(you know.....a group of kids that have no class/integrity/respect for self!) attend open gym. Unfortunately, due to their lack of self worth, they think that BULLYING others will build their worth they are so seriously missing in their life. And unfortunately, because they are possibly dealing with this type of problem for the first time, it seems the gym and some coaches do not take this type of thing seriously.....and just brush it off. The newest bullying we are now dealing with is the following(yes! other incidents HAVE OCCURRED!): A kid on put his fists in my kids face and curses. My child told a male coach who responded with "just ignore it". My child says this response to this devil child fist threats/cursing has happened a few times now...WHAT!!!! Bullying/threats IS SERIOUS, and I feel that the Academy falls short in understanding that permitting kids/families like this to be part of the gym "culture"....is not good for business, nor the child experiencing it. There should be ZERO TOLERANCE for this type of behavior....and immediate removal/revocation of using gym facilities. Because what is going to happen is someone WILL eventually get hurt....and guess who will be liable? The problem has been brought to their attention, and it continues. Having no guidelines/expectations of business relationships with those that do not respect the reputation of the establishment, or well being of others around them, is not good. You start driving out the people that do care, who see this place as a "second home" and start replacing them with the ones who don't....who just view the business as "a place to hang out". They bring their poor upbringing, classless behavior to a place that trains ELITE LEVEL GYMNASTS,and start bringing their other associates who carry that very same behavior. So, while my family has enjoyed our run with this Academy, due to the nature of how this Bullying problem has escalated.....and how it appears that clear guidelines are not in place to remove "problem people/kids" from the gym, I am saddened we may have to find a new gym to call "home". The gym has to understand, that they have reached "The NEXT LEVEL"...they are known nationally, internationally, and are making big moves. So,they have to address problem people/kids, and take some drastic steps to make those type of families/kids/people understand that at a facility LIKE THIS there is ZERO TOLERANCE for disrespect/bullying of others, and their "culture" is not welcome in an atmosphere cultivating GREATNESS. Until this happens....we will remove ourselves, and seek out other options...
