| - I requested an estimate from Arizona Painting Company to paint the exterior of my home and the block wall surrounding my home, as well as scrape and re-stucco a long retaining wall in my back yard. The old stucco was crumbling badly on the retaining wall, but the estimator, Mike Mendoza, assured me they would send their best stucco crew. Mike Mendoza was very professional, arrived on time, gave me a written estimate on the spot, and followed up exactly one week later to see if I had any questions. I ultimately decided to go with Arizona Painting Company, and they scheduled the work for the week of March 13th, with an estimate that the job would be completed in 3-4 days. A color consultant was assigned to come out and work with me. I already had chosen two colors, but she suggested using a third for the trim and covered patio. I'm very happy she made that suggestion.
The paint crew of two arrived on schedule and walked my property with me. They seemed surprised that the retaining wall needed to have the old stucco scraped and then re-stuccoed. The foreman started the stucco job on day 1 but soon told me that someone else would be coming the next day to finish the stucco because he needed to get started on the house. The house was power washed and prepped on day 1. On day 2, three painters returned and worked tirelessly for 12 hours to finish the painting of the house. The foreman told me he did not know when the stucco crew would be coming, but to look everything over and they would do any touch ups when they came back to paint the wall.
When no one showed up on day 3, I made several phone calls to track down whoever the supervisor was for my job (evidently, the foreman was supposed to have given me that information on day 1). I was finally referred to Joe Bucco, who stopped by my house that day to take a look at the wall. Unable to tell me when the stucco crew would be able to finish the job, Joe stopped by again on Friday with two other employees to replace the screens on my house and do some touch up work. The paint crew had inadvertently painted over a couple of small shade screens, so Joe removed them and told me he would repair them (which he did). Late Friday afternoon, I was finally told the stucco crew would be here on Monday.
I was really starting to lose confidence that my retaining wall was going to be completed properly, but the crew that arrived on Monday quickly restored my confidence. The foreman, Daniel, and his team, as well as Training Manager, Mike Damico, did a very professional job on the retaining wall. They came back on Tuesday to paint the wall, and also handled all the touch ups from the work done the previous week. Daniel also assured me if I found anything else that needed a touch up, he would personally take care of it.
Although there were a few hiccups along the way, I am very happy with the work done by Arizona Painting Company. I would hire them again.
