I found a cockatiel in my mother's garage and put up signs in her neighborhood in hopes of returning the bird to its owner. Nobody claimed it, and neither my mother nor I were in a position to care for it. I don't know much about birds, and have never owned one, but I am a lover of animals - so naturally, I wanted to make sure the cockatiel was left in good hands. I ended up taking it to the Arizona Exotic Bird Rescue, and am so glad that I did. The guys who work there were so sweet about the bird and I could tell that they were going to take good care of the little guy. They showed me some of their other birds and told me the story behind them - it was obvious they care about each and every one. It was very comforting to know that I was leaving the bird where he would be properly cared for. Now I just hope he gets adopted into a loving home.
