A fairly unassuming little storefront on Gerrard leads into a clean and sleek little cafe - so calming and uncluttered, it's a pleasure to just walk into.
The coffee is not wildly outstanding, but still delicious enough. Although a lot of indie coffee joints in Toronto are starting to offer almond milk as an option in addition to soy, Mylk Uncookies are unique in that they make their own almond milk on premises - and it's freakin' delicious! I've tried it in an iced and a hot latte, and it's really very nice. Unfortunately because they make it, when they run out that's it for the day.
When well-stocked, the snack fridge offers a few vegan snacks (some of them raw, as well). You can also buy jars of the almond milk if you're lucky and get there when they're well-stocked.
If you're going to stick around to enjoy your coffee & snacks, there's a small selection of board games and magazines/papers also. There's washroom facilities, and a water bowl for pups out front. Definitely a solid spot for a drop of coffee and/or a snack if you're in the neighbourhood!
