  • After being double charged by the Palazzo before my trip (for the amount of $1200) and just receiving an "Oops, sorry about that", I tried to overlook that issue and enjoy my vacation for my bff's Bachelorette. We upgraded to a strip view and I put my credit card down for both suites. On the second day, we realized that housekeeping never came, even though my friend had told them we would be heading out in ten minutes, and we left the room no later than 11:30am. We had to call for extra towels, and told them we could skip the housekeeping, but really needed someone to empty our trash cans. They told us they would send someone up, but no one ever came. Fast forward a few days, and I notice they overcharged me for the upgrade. I called their customer service and they accuse me of misreading the charges in a snooty tone. When I point out that I wasn't refunded for the $100/suite deposit, they realized they were in the wrong and had to backpedal and give me a refund, and barely offered up an apology. After writing an email to the Palazzo about this, they just made sure I was refunded and confirmed that to me. THAT'S NOT THE POINT- the point is that I'm lucky my credit cards weren't close to their limits when I was overcharged, and they can't go around thinking it's ok to overcharge their customers and then refund them later. One of my friends also had a bad experience with their level of customer service during her recent stay. I won't be back to the Palazzo and have made sure to tell my friends and family about my terrible experience so that they will stay away as well. There is no excuse to treat your customers so poorly since there are way too many other nice hotels to stay at in Vegas. The casino floor was dead at the Palazzo and after my experience there, I assume that others have received the memo to go elsewhere as well. One more negative- the bathroom design at the Palazzo is one of the worst I've seen. There are no locks for the main bathroom or the toliet, and no fan that you can turn on in the separate toliet room. The shower is glass, so people can't use the sinks and take a shower at the same time.
