My wife and I recently purchased 12x24" porcelain tile from Construction Lots and we are most displeased with the quality of the product as well as the customer service we received. Before purchasing the tile we visited Construction Lots a number of times and spoke with a variety of people all of whom assured us the tile would take approximately 7-10 days to arrive after our order was placed. When we were ready to order our tile, we were told it was going to take three weeks due to high demand. Disgruntled, we ordered it anyway. The tile did arrive in three weeks so I give them credit for that. However, when our PROFESSIONAL installer tried to lay the tile, he informed us it was badly cupped and laying it in the staggered brick pattern we had selected would result in an uneven floor. Construction Lots contacted the manufacturer who rudely questioned our install method and told us we could return the tile and they would ship us a replacement order. However the new tile would most likely come from the same lot and we would have to wait another three to four weeks. We were also told hardly any tile is flat and it is difficult to lay in a brick pattern. We finally decided to have our installer set the tile in a straight lay pattern rather than waste another three weeks only to receive more defective product. Construction Lots offered no other compensation. When we said we would be posting a negative review, Marissa, who is supposedly the general manager, simply asked us not to do so, but said she couldn't do anything else to rectify the problem. Construction Lots has blatantly illustrated they care only about making a sale, and nothing about ensuring customer satisfaction. We will never give this joke of an establishment our business again.
