| - I chose Hampton Inn & Suites because I stayed at another one recently that was extremely nice and decided to stick with that. I booked on Hotels.com. The price was very affordable--and it wasn't a last minute booking so it wasn't like it was marked down just to fill the bed, but it also wasn't sketchy cheap...which is entirely possible in and around Las Vegas. This one is buried in Henderson pretty well and in the Silverado Ranch area I used to live so that was a plus. I stayed here with my teenage son when we came from L.A. for a concert. It was a pleasant stay. The other one I stayed at was on the East Coast and maybe a bit nicer than this one, but, this place was clean--not just the room but the entire place including the parking lot, the staff was extremely friendly, and the beds were super comfy (with 4 puffy pillows per bed! Score!) The toiletries were Neutrogena and seemed decent. We were on the top floor and had a partial view of the Strip which I found surprising since we had booked on Hotels.com. The breakfast buffet was spot on for a Hampton Inn but much better than most hotels and many Las Vegas buffets. The free Wi-Fi was very good, didn't get kicked off even once. I travel often for work and most hotels' Wi-Fi is abysmal. Parking was free and plentiful and it's a safe area. It's also close to gas stations, Eastern Ave.--where you'll find Target, Kmart, grocery stores, an urgent care center, a hospital, and every kind of food you can think of and easy access to LVB and the freeways. The only minor complaints are that you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you, but that's common in any hotel, and the elevator was musty smelling and S-L-O-W. Really those are the only negative things I noticed. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Even if I was booking direct.
