  • Tung Tung is the place the original Chinese Egg Waffles ("eggettes") favourite in Toronto. I remember as a kid I would whine, pout, kick and scream just to get my hands on a tasty sheet of these. Nowadays, I can enjoy them without the fuss of having to whine and beg... but I still await with eyes gleaming... I have always had my Egg Waffles made fresh, and have never been served one that's been sitting on the cooling rack, sadly waiting for a purchaser to snag it. Maybe I've just been lucky? The only thing I would get from here are the Chinese Eggettes as they are the only thing you can get freshly made. The Egg Rolls (Dan Guen) and Red Bean Cakes are all pre-made and quite frankly, the only place you SHOULD buy Red Bean Cakes is from Hodo Kwaja, because nobody does it better!
