  • My Toyota Yaris (2013) failed the smog and the mechanic told me I needed a costly $1200 repair to replace the vapor canister in the evaporative emission system. The check engine light had been on due to a loose gas gap but I was told by the Toyota dealer would reset every 100 miles. The mechanic at Purrfect said that couldn't be the reason. I spent $7.77 for the failed smog and $49.99 for the diagnostic. When I took the car to the Toyota dealer, they didn't find anything wrong and reset the computer. I passed the smog.
